Templates and document definitions
When a Composition Center-enabled Process is deployed, the Process is exposed to Composition Center and is available as a template in Composition Center. The template is assigned the document type that is configured for the Message.

Depending on the Design Center configuration, the template can be used as a basis when creating document definitions for printed output, for emails, or for web output. A document definition can also be used for a combination of these output formats. For example, one document definition could be used both in an email body and in a PDF file attached to the email.

After adding content and rules to the document definitions, the business users finally publish the document definitions. The published document definitions are used by StreamServer applications to generate the business documents.
