Configuring the user directories with OTDS
The following steps are required to configure the user directories with OTDS:

Configuring the LDAP connection profile for OTDS

In the Application Domain Editor, click the Directory tab.

In the User directories list, click Internal or External.

In the Vendor list, click OTDS.

Configuring the web service connection profile for OTDS
The StreamServe installation includes a template XML file that you use to configure the OTDS web service connection profile.
The template file contains separate elements for the connection profiles for the internal and external users of the directory server:
To configure the web service connection profile

Make a copy of the defaultotdstemplateprofiles.xml file from:
<StreamServe_Installation_directory>\Platform\Core\<version>\template

In the connectionprofile element for the internal and/or external users, update the following elements:
url – The URL for OTDS
port – The port used for communication.

In the authenticationprofile element for the internal and/or external users, update the following elements:
name – The OTDS user name.
password – The password for authentication.

Copy the XML file into the securityprofiles folder in the working directory of each StreamServe application that requires access to OTDS.
