Create Database dialog box

The Create Database dialog box is used to create the repositories for a selected node. For example, if a site node is selected, StreamServe Enterprise Repository for the site can be created from the dialog box. Or if an application domain node is selected, the runtime repository and the web content repository for the application domain can be created.

Setting	Description
Create now	Runs the scripts to create the repository selected in the drop down list. You must enter the database administrator user name and password. Note: You cannot create the repository directly from Control Center if the password contains certain characters. Create scripts for later use	Generates the SQL scripts used to create the repository selected in the drop down list. You can run these scripts using an external tool at a later stage. The scripts are saved in the following zip file: <Base directory>\<Version>\root\config\database\<GUID>.zip Where: • <Base directory> – Is the path specified for StreamServe Projects during the Framework and StreamServer installation. For example: C:\ManagementGateway • <GUID> – Is a globally unique identifier for the zip file.
Apply hotfix	Applies hotfixes to the repository selected in the drop-down list. You must enter the database administrator user name and password. The hotfixes must be installed in the following directory: <Base directory>\<Version>\root\config\database\ Where <Base directory> is the path specified for StreamServe Projects during the Framework and StreamServer installation. For example: C:\ManagementGateway
Apply upgrade	Applies a database upgrade to a StreamServe Enterprise Repository or a Collector archive. You must enter the database administrator user name and password. The upgrade must be installed in the following directory: <Base directory>\<Version>\root\config\database\upgrade Where <Base directory> is the path specified for StreamServe Projects during the Framework and StreamServer installation. For example: C:\ManagementGateway
Select database	A list populated with the possible repositories for the selected node.
Start	Starts the selected operation.
Close	Closes the Create Database dialog box.
Open Log File	Opens the full log in the default text editor.
